Understanding Gambling Harm

One of the most challenging, but also rewarding areas of our work is supporting people who fell victim to gambling.

One of the most harming stereotypes regarding gambling is that it's mostly personal responsibility and the problem lies within the person. There is some merit in it, but we also have to acknowledge that we live in a world bombarding us with gambling-encouraging content - bets, commercials, online games, even cryptocurrencies - all waiting for us to fall for them.

We all have times of struggle, where we go through stress, crises, financial issues etc. These are, unfortunately, a part of life, but hit us much harder in a foreign land without our friends and family to support us. This is why our Charity has a project supporting those of us who have lost themselves a bit within gambling.
